Second Trimester OF PAIN!!!!!! Of the mother By: Ryan & Keith

Oh, what’s that? Its Fat! During the second Trimester the pregnant woman starts to put on weight The hands, ankles, and feet start to swell. The breasts and the uterus start to expand The rapid expansion is very likely to cause stretch marks

You will get significantly bigger during pregnancy. Just look at this…

Unless you have a miscarriage.. But not to worry, A miscarriage is much less common in the second trimester It actually almost never happens during the second trimester. Common causes (if it does happen) of Miscarriages in the second trimester would be: Malformations of the uterus Premature opening of the cervix Or diseases

Weeks 15-24 These weeks can be seen as a relaxation period for the mother She is becoming more and more comfortable with the new baby The mental and physical stress is becoming more accustom to the mother

Week 15 The mother begins to feel the kicks, twists and turns The fingernails and toenails are growing and the mother may be able to feel them Hair is also beginning to grow

Week 20 Immunities are being transferred from the mother to the baby now These immunities will protect the baby from viruses Baby can now hear the sounds outside the womb so it is advised to avoid loud places

Weeks 21-27

2nd Trimester Complications The two major problems during the second trimester are the incompetent cervix and placental abruption Incompetent cervix is when the cervix is weak and opens before the baby is ready to be born

Placental abruption A large loss of blood or hemorrhage may require blood transfusions and intensive care after delivery The uterus may not contract properly after delivery so the mother may need medication to help her uterus contract

The End Check out this wheelie!
