Before Classes Start Be Professional Be Respectful Be Responsible 1. Be on time. Acknowledgement or consideration of others addressing you. 1. Following adult directives 2. Pick up after yourself 1. Be in dress code and wear your ID all day. Bring materials for the day. Turn off and store all electronic devices. Why? For safety reasons we need to know who belongs here and who does not. It is common courtesy that you give any person your full attention when they speak to you. Good, sanitation, practices keep us all safe and healthy. We have more time to learn when we are on time and prepared for class.

Dismissal Be Professional Be Respectful Be Responsible 1. Walk and Talk out of the building. 1. Be considerate of others as exiting. 2. Maintain hands and objects to yourself. 1. Move promptly to your appropriate location: Buses/ Tutoring/ Club Why? For the sake of safety we must exit in an orderly manner. The more orderly we are the sooner we get to where we are going.

Hallways Be Professional Be Respectful Be Responsible Walk with a purpose minimizing distractions for other students in class. 1. Considerate of others. 2. Clear the hallways promptly. 1. Carry a pass. 2. Arrive to class on time. 3. Prepared to work/learn. Why? For safety and accountability reasons we need to know who belongs in the hallway. The more orderly we are the sooner we get to where we are going. We have more time to learn when we are on time and prepared for class.

True/False? When walking through the hallways it is acceptable to wave at friends through the classroom door. It is acceptable to throw your trash. It is acceptable to throw other people’s trash away. It is acceptable to enter the classroom with ear buds in your ears (the music’s not on). It is appropriate to leave class when your phone says 4:00. FALSE! TRUE! TRUE! FALSE! FALSE!
