Know your staff and know your students
Establish clearly defined schoolwide behavior expectations
Make sure staff and students are aware of the consequences for their actions

Know your school’s hot spots and eliminate them!
Never tolerate inappropriate language, gestures or behaviors from staff or students

If it’s mean, intervene!
Stop the behavior immediately!
Make sure everyone is safe!
Separate, investigate, counsel and communicate with all stakeholders involved
