Top tips for constructive feedback When giving feedback: comment on the strengths of the work and any concerns you have be honest but constructive focus on the product and the goal, not the person and the talent/skill make suggestions for improvement. When receiving feedback: try not to get defensive ask questions if you’re not clear about something – it’s a great chance to learn! decide whether and how to act on feedback.

Do your :bit – how to enter We want you to design and make a solution to a problem that affects you and your community or another community somewhere in the world. This could be a device that will reduce the amount of plastic used in school. Or a solution that encourages your parents to recycle. Could you help people to keep their plants watered? Or perhaps you and your friends want to monitor the local wildlife? Whatever the issue, we’re interested to hear how you would go about solving it. Use your imagination and be as creative as possible.

Writing a design brief What is the problem that affects your school or community? How does this relate to the Global Goal you researched? What do you want the solution to achieve? How will it help your school or community? Who is affected by the problem? Who will use the design solution? Think about age, gender, views etc. Where will the design be used? Can you include photographs or videos to help your partner school understand the problem and need? What is the deadline for the design?
