Schedule WEEK 1: Introductory Lecture WEEK 2: Group Work WEEK 4: Presentation day!

Before Presentation Select a topic of your group. Register the selected topic via the mailing list or a group-ware. No groups share one topic. First-come-first-serve basis. Prepare your presentation. Upload your documents somewhere on the internet. Send the URL of your documents using the mailing list by the midnight of the day before the presentation class. At the beginning of the presentation class, Toyoizumi will pick up to 4 groups for presentations. Sorry! At the beginning of your group’s presentation, if you are lucky enough, you might be assigned to the speaker of your group.

At the Presentation You have total 13 min. Notes: 10 min. presentation 3 min. Q & A Notes: Help call. If you really get stuck in a question, you may ask help from your teammates.

Peer review at the presentations Listen carefully at your peer’s presentations. Rank them according to your own criteria. Submit your evaluation (the best group other than your group) via waseda-net portal On-demand Internet Class. Your group will be rated according to the results. Those groups who failed to make their presentation will be evaluated by Toyoizumi. Remember, your evaluation will be made public! Be responsible for your evaluation.

Register your evaluation Login to Waseda-net portal. Click “On-demand Internet Class”. Click “Introduction to Information Processing.” Select “”実施” at Peer Review. Answer the questions. Then click “送信”

Go to On-demande internet class

Select Peer Review

Evaluate Presentations You can view the result any time!

The result of your vote

Evaluation The top group will gain the score 100. The groups who made the presentation will obtain 70 - 90. The groups who failed to make their presentation will get 0 - 70. Those who made a good question or comment will get additional points up to 10.

Awards The champion of group work will be decided at the end of the course according to the result of three presentations. The champion group will be given (unofficial, secret and precious?) rewards. The worst groups (the losers!) will be given time to express their excuse for the poor performance, if requested.
