Today, I want to talk to you about dyslexia. Hello! Today, I want to talk to you about dyslexia.

I am Dyslexic. There is nothing to be ashamed of being dyslexic. So many people, past and present have dyslexia.

Here are some examples: Albert Einstein Walt Disney Jackie Chan Leonardo Da Vinci

So many adults and children within our community have it So many adults and children within our community have it. You might even know someone.

Being dyslexic is hard but I am NOT ashamed of it. I am proud of it!

I see things differently to you. I am a visual learner.

To help me, my school and my parents allow me to go to Flexi-School Dyslexia also known as FSD. Every Friday, I go here…

FSD is amazing. Everyone is really kind and they help me to understand how my dyslexia affects me.

One thing that we do is Brain Training. In Brain Training, we train our brains to be still and learn how to use our core muscles.

We use wobble boards, running in bare feet, skipping and juggling balls to help us do this.

I do have to do writing at FSD but I do this in a fun way, by making posters. Because I am dyslexic, it is easier for me to learn this way. We have posters around our classroom at FSD.

As I am dyslexic, you might see me with pieces of paper like my B and D poster on my school desk.

Thank you for listening to my story. By Alex South
