Measurements of the apoptotic response of CLL cells to radiation and the association with elevated genomic complexity. Highly enriched CD19+ cells from 158 CLL patients were irradiated with 5 Gy, and the viable and apoptotic/necrotic cell populations were measured for irradiated and nonirradiated samples using Annexin V-PI fluorescence-activated cell sorting staining ∼40 h postirradiation.
