ACADEMIC PROGRESS INDICATOR (GRADES 3-8) Measure of students’ progress based on Classroom Benchmark Assessment (CBA) administered in the fall and General Summative Assessment (GSA) administered in the spring. Alternate Assessment students do not have access to a Classroom Benchmark Assessment. WVDE is in communication with the UNIQUE Learning System to provide classrooms with a Classroom Benchmark Assessment to assess growth for students with significant cognitive disabilities.

ACADEMIC PROGRESS INDICATOR CALCULATION Schools performance will be differentiated based on the percentage of students who improve by one or more performance levels between the baseline and end-of-year assessment administrations, and The percentage of students demonstrating the highest level of performance at baseline who remain at that level by end-of-year.

GRADUATION RATE INDICATOR (4 YEAR – 5 YEAR COHORT) Graduation rates are certified during the fall of the following school year as part of the October 1 Certified Data Collection. Assure both spring- and summer-school graduates are appropriately included.

ON-TRACK TO GRADUATION INDICATOR (GRADE 10) Represents the percent of grade 10 students on-track for completing the 22 credit requirement for high school graduation. Earn at least twelve (12) credits At least two (2) credits in each of four primary content areas (English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) by the conclusion of grade 10 academic year.

POST-SECONDARY ACHIEVEMENT INDICATOR (GRADES 9-12) Represents percent of grade 12 students that acquire credentials toward college and career readiness by accomplishing one or more during high school (grades 9-12) careers: Completion of Advance Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) program exams; Completion of college credit-bearing, dual-credit coursework with a grade of A,B,C; and/or Completion of four (4) required courses in state-approved Career Technical Education (CTE) program of study. Alternate Diploma and some other students with disabilities are not represented in this calculation.
