Dereham Sixth Form Student Progress 2019-2020

Target Grades Target grades to be issued during Tutor time.

Average GCSE score Scoring is based on: F = 2 G = 1 For each GCSE grade achieved Average GCSE Score = Total points Total GCSE’s Average points score only based on GCSEs

Progress Checking Target grades used as a guide to progress Progress check with assignments in subjects Progress reviews incl. folder check Year 12 exams December & End of year Forecast grades lead to predicted grades in July updated in Autumn term of year 13. Summer - to investigate University etc -Prepared for year 13. Increase in UCAS grades after evidence.

Pastoral Support Tutor main focus The focus of progress checking is important so that students are always aware of their current level of achievement as well as knowing what they need to do to improve further. In addition the tutor will be monitoring that the student is coping emotionally with the challenge of A levels

Tutor Support Tutor group meet once a fortnight and follow a programme of support and guidance throughout the two years Individual student monitoring takes place in 1 to 1 tutorials Extra support and advice is available from Head of Year and IAG from our careers advisor
