1: Daily Daily posts should be distributed primarily through Twitter. By providing short updates on the company, related content, news articles, and polls/questions, LucyBlue will build a dedicated group of followers on Twitter on a daily basis.

7: Weekly A blog is critical in communicating ideas and products to customers. By publishing a weekly blog with back links in Twitter and Facebook posts, LucyBlue will give the customer more insight and depth than would otherwise be accomplished with just Tweets or Facebook posts themselves.

30: Monthly A key part of these posts is that the production value can be much higher. There should be more thought and research out into content that is only posted once a month. Examples of content that can be posted monthly are produce a video, a podcast, create a Powerpoint presentation, and many more.  For LucyBlue, we recommend creating an eNewsletter that is sent to their followers on a monthly basis.  The newsletter can include new products they are working on, some of their favorite products, information about their mittens and upcoming events.

4: Quarterly These posts should have even more production value than the monthly posts and carry a little more bang. Some examples of a quarterly release are a video series or launch a contest or sweepstakes. Content like this can create more buzz around whatever you are marketing because they don’t happen as often and can be much more exciting.  LucyBlue should hold quarterly contests in which they engage their followers through a number of social media fronts and then giveaway a set number of mittens to the winners of the contest.

2: Bi Annual The bi-annual event that we would suggest is attending a trade show that promotes the sale of homemade goods.  The first event should occur sometime in mid November, as that is when Chicago is starting to get cold and people are getting ready to buy Christmas presents. The second could be again in January, or waiting until early spring to sell products at a clearance price, and sell the other items they make in addition to mittens that may be useful in other seasons.  LucyBlue would sell their mittens at it and create awareness of their product by also handing out business cards with their website, Facebook, etc on it.

1: Annual An annual plan LucyBlue should follow is celebrating their anniversary of going into business.  There can be daily/weekly updates leading up to the anniversary.  I would suggest running a contest in the weeks before and drawing the winner on the anniversary.  Contest examples include, just having people enter through email/facebook, or having people post pictures of them with their mittens and choosing from those.  LucyBlue can also run a special promotion for everyone who participates in the contest but does not win, for example, 10% off your total purchase or BOGO sales.
