“Decoding Daniel”

Daniel 9 24 “A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Daniel 9 25 Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty- two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler — the Anointed One — comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times.

Daniel 9 26 “After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. 

Daniel 9 27 The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.”

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (NLT) 1. 1. Intimacy with Jesus will give you discernment and knowledge of truth. (You will not be deceived) 1 John 4:6 (NLT) But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception

3. Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to trust His leadership even in the face of chaos. God’s leadership in the end times (7:9-14) God enthroned in majesty (7:9-10) Destruction of the Antichrist (7:11-12) Jesus’ coronation as King over all nations (7:13-14)

4. Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. Matthew 22:37 (NLT) Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind

Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. Matthew 24:12-13 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. John 14:15  “If you love me, obey my commandments.

Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. Daniel 12:10 Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.

Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. 1 John 2:15-17 (NLT) 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 

Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. 1 John 2:15-17 (NLT) 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 

Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to love Him more than this world. 1 John 2:15-17 (NLT) 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

5. Intimacy with Jesus will cause you to do great things for Him boldly despite persecution. Daniel 11:32 (NKJV) Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.
