Cheatham Hill uses a standards based report card for all grades. Common assessments linked to the new Georgia Standards of Excellence will be used to ensure consistency and accuracy in the grading process. Academic performance will show the student’s proficiency on the GA Standards of Excellence in reading, writing, and math and the GA Performance Standards in science and social studies. Behavior and effort will be reflected in a separate area on the report card.
Purple folders should be brought to school every day. In order to be consistent throughout second grade, all classes will be asking your child to read 15-20 minutes Monday through Thursday. Also since reading is your child’s only homework, we ask that they also complete the monthly Rocket Reader form by the end of each month. All homework and parent papers should be returned in the purple Parent Communication folder.
