The major work of 7th grade focuses are: Proportional relationships Class Description Grading The major work of 7th grade focuses are: Proportional relationships Solving algebraic equations Operations with rational numbers Geometry (angle measures, surface area, and volume) Probability Math grades will be based upon the following categories and weights Tests 50% Quizzes 20% Spiral Review 20% Assignments 10% (HW/Classwork, etc.) Grades will be updated approximately every 2 week on the web using districts Skyward. Absences: It is the students responsibility to check and complete any missed graded work and turn in before cut off date. Please see me for details. Repairs pairs Classwork/Homework Resources Ty Supplies here Students may “repair” any test for partial credit of the incorrect work. Students will have one week from test date to complete this work Students may retake any quiz or spiral review for full credit. You will have two weeks to schedule a time to retake. Times available may include before/after school and Stretch time. Pencil Eraser Spiral or composition notebook 2 pocket folder Correcting Pen Highlighter Basic scientific calculator Students will keep a weekly record sheet outlining daily learning targets along with work assigned. Classwork and homework will be checked for effort and completion weekly at a minimum.
