Medicines All prescribed medicines must be taken to the school office with a completed medicine form We are not able to give any other medications in the school Epi-pens/inhalers required to be labelled and in school at all times Please do not send in any cough sweets Allergies (nut free school)

Uniform and P.E. Kit Please make sure everything is labelled Smart uniform everyday Wellingtons required in school Long hair must be tied up P.E. kit should be in school everyday during term time Nail polish prohibited Earrings, if worn, should be one set of plain studs and children must be required to remove them themselves

The School Day Staff are on duty on the playground from 8:35am No children should be on the playground before 8:35am Bell rings at 8:45am with children lining up in register order School day begins at 8:50am Playtime at 10:45am Lunch at 12:20pm School day ends at 3:20pm

BELOW AGE-RELATED EXPECTATIONS Assessment Throughout the year, formative assessments are carried out and each child’s progress is assessed against age-related expectations. Your child will therefore be in one of four broad bands for Reading, Writing and Maths: Below Age-Related Expectations Emerging Expected Exceeding BELOW AGE-RELATED EXPECTATIONS EMERGING EXPECTED EXCEEDING 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 The expectation is that your child would be in the “Emerging” band at the start of the school year. This is because the curriculum for that year would not yet have been taught to your child. By the end of the school year, the expectation would be that your child would be in the “Expected” band. “Expected” means that your child is working at the expected level for a child of that age.

School Absence Please notify the school by telephone before 8.50am If your child has been sick or had diarrhoea, they must be kept home for a minimum of 48 hours after the last occurrence If your child arrives after the register has been taken, please ensure you sign them in, in the school office

Weekly Drop-In Wednesday 3:25-3:40pm A chance for your child to share his/her work with you.
