Why all the Changes? NMETL Reduction DRRS-S Transition In June 2018, USFF mandated that all Navy units reduce the size of their METLs to support more accurate and timely readiness reporting to OPNAV, Joint Staff, and Congress. All Aviation NMETLs have been reduced and all units will be reporting on their reduced NMETL by the USFF 30 June 2019 deadline Reduced NMETLs are a prerequisite for the DRRS-S transition DRRS-S Transition On 13 August, the President signed the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which mandates that all services will report readiness using DRRS-S (Joint version of DRRS) by the end of FY19 USFF mandated that all Navy units shall transition to DRRS-S by 30 Aug 2019

Summary of Reporting Changes DRRS-S contains two separate assessments: Commander’s DRRS-S Assessments The Commander shall assess all METs, MET standards, and Core Assessing MET standards vice using PESTO data is unique to DRRS-S Status of Resources and Training (SORTS) Assessment The SORTS assessment is still required by CJCS The SORTS C levels shall be consistent with the DRRS-S assessments NSIT (Navy SORTS Input Tool) is the application within DRRS-S that allows Navy units to input SORTS data. MET Standards Met Description Standards Assessment MET Assessment Comments What is a Standard? A standard consists of a descriptive performance measure and performance criteria that defines full mission capability The criteria is the established value that determines if the standard is achieved or not achieved How are standards used in DRRS-S? Standards are applied to each MET with criteria and assessed/observed options (USFF only requires the assessed option) Before you can approve a MET in DRRS-S, all standards must be assessed Just cover what is shown on the slide.

SORTS Reporting Joint Staff still requires all services to report legacy SORTS data The NSIT section of DRRS-S allows Navy units to update SORTS data NSIT is a separate assessment that still needs to be consistent with DRRS-S DRRS-S exposes units to the full set of SORTS data that had previously been reported through DRRS-N Several of the SORTS data sets come from sources other than the unit Unit registration date Unit ID data Data set descriptions will be part of the TYCOM reporting guidance Just cover what is shown on the slide. 8

CVW / CSCW-1 Reporting Under the reduced METL the old CARR no longer works thus CAG/CSCW-1 report under their staff UIC The CAG/CSCW-1 staff can view each squadron’s assessment in DRRS-S but not as a group Squadrons can still submit their comments to the CAG/CSCW-1 to inform the CAG/CDRE comments The CAG/CSCW-1 comments still reflect the ability of the wing as a whole to perform their various missions

DRRS-S Account Permissions DRRS-S URL (SIPRNET): https://drrs.csd.disa.smil.mil/drrs/login The unit of assignment is the unit that you are allowed to edit Only five accounts per unit are allowed to have Unit Commander Permissions To get a new DRRS-S Account Request an account on the DRRS-S homepage. OSD will only create accounts with "View only" permissions Call the Navy Readiness Support Center (USFF Help Desk) at 757-836-6365 to have your permission level upgraded to unit commander. DRRS-S User Roles: Account Type Description of Permission Level Unit Viewer Read-only access to ESORTS information. Has no ability to edit mission readiness tasks. This is the default role for all new DRRS-S users. Unit User Can view draft assessments in the Mission Assessment tool. Has the ability to edit mission readiness tasks that are directly assigned to their user account for their primary unit of assignment. Unit Commander Has final approval authority on the submission of the unit’s readiness report. Has read and write capabilities for the unit of assignment. This is the only permission level that can edit and submit data in the Navy SORTS Input Tool.
