Have them find 1 through 50 in sequence, circling each number individually in order. They can not circle the entire page of circle numbers that are part of other numbers (example: circling the 1 in 15). They will average getting to maybe 12. The biggest issue is the fact that roughly 40% of the numbers on the sheet have nothing to do with your job of circling 1 through 50. This relates to the 5S Sort step. Get rid of everything that is not needed to be successful in your role.

You have already Sorted but there is no order or logic to the flow, causing the same problems.

You did actually add some logic and order to the process, but you didn’t create a documented and communicated standard. Play this slide using animation and you sill see the actual sequence. The sequence stays the same for all 50. If everyone would have understood the flow at the beginning, everyone would have succeeded, but you didn’t communicate or train the team on the standard, so they all failed.
