Bookmark Excellence – 2nd Interactive Bookmark Excellence – 2nd Learning Target: I can identify and analyze irony. “No door in the community was ever locked.” The locked doors made Jonas feel uneasy. “I can call Garden Heights ghetto all I want. Nobody else can.” I feel like because Starr has to act difference and she comes from somewhere else her ghetto place she calls home is all she knows and ignorant people making comments about what they do not know angers her. “I begin to run trying to outrun the assassin within me. Like I can no longer stand to be in my own skin.” This demonstrates man vs self since she is mad at herself for killing that girl.

Bookmark Excellence – 3rd Interactive Bookmark Excellence – 3rd Learning Target: I can identify and analyze irony. The Hunger Games is about to happen and Katniss is worried she will get picked. She is trying to forget. (Conflict) One of the main conflicts is whether Martha thinks she is good enough to be a writer. (Internal conflict) It seems Naruto and his son have a rather conflicting relationship. Naruto is barely home because he’s bokage and this probably made Boruto hate him. “I stole the ring.” This line creates tension and conflict. After Jake leads the team to a win, his dad couldn’t just say good job.

Bookmark Excellence – 4th Interactive Bookmark Excellence – 4th Learning Target: I can identify and analyze irony. “You can do it. You just need the will!” Her dads character is very sarcastic and rude. “The public will believe Dr. Shapiro.” The conflict is that the public does not believe Kathleen. Conflict- Sam dropped a very important piece to stop Grace. Shay says “But we’re not going to get caught. And if we do, I’ll take the blame.” This shows that Shay really cares about her friendship with Tally.
