Before the Contest Choose your Team CLUB AREA DIVISION DISTRICT Voting Judges 5 (one from each Club) 7 (one from each Area) (one from each Division) Tie Breaking Judge 1 Tally Counters 2 3 Timers No CJ, VJ or TBJ should be from a Club of the Contestant Encourage them to read the Contest Rule Book

Eligibility - Judges At Club level Member in good standing At Area, Division and District level Paid member for minimum 6 months Completed 6 CC projects or Level 1&2 in any Path Judges Training recommended for all

Before the start of the Contest Check contestant eligibility with the Contest Chair Give Contest materials to Judges and other assignees Judges Timers Tally Counters Judges Certification of Eligibility & Code of Ethics Time record sheet & Instructions for Timers Tally Counter’s sheet Judge’s Guide & Ballot Timer Cards Tie Breaking Judge’s Guide & Ballot Stop Watch Certificate of Appreciation Blank rough sheets Brief the team and provide Speaking order

During the Contest Be attentive and ensure that the contest runs smoothly Ensure that the ballots have been collected from all Voting Judges Collect ballot from Tie Breaking Judge and Timer’s Report, yourself Deal with Protests, if any.

Protests Only Contestants and Voting Judges can lodge a protest to the Chief Judge or Contest Chair. Protests, if any, should be lodged before the results are announced. Protests are limited to Eligibility and Originality.

End of Contest Compile the result with the aid of the Tally Counters Disqualify contestants who do not meet time requirement Fill the Results Form (Item 1168) and Winners Certificates and hand over to the Contest Chair.

After the Contest Fill in the Contest Report completely, and email to PQD and DCJ only, within 7 days of the Contest. dcj@district98.org pqd@district98.org You can get the form in the Contests tab of the District 98 website. Send the list of Contest winners to the next level Director
