Having considered some of the gifts of faith in the church body, the remainder of chapter 12 shares principles of Christian love.

Christianity is a society within a society, and rare is the occasion when the higher powers of the land are God-fearing men and women of faith. But as we shall learn in Romans 13, Christians still have a duty to their secular rulers.
