1. ANNUAL CPI INFLATION, HEADLINE & CORE1,2 1. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) currently comprises a basket of 400 items divided into 51 sections covering goods and services. The weights in the basket, which was last revised in December 2018. 2. Two measure of core inflation are currently published: the “trimmed mean”, which excludes more volatile price movements, and “core by exclusion”, which removes the impact of changes in administered prices.
