Synopsis The synopsis of my music video will be about a husband and wife. The wife keeps nagging and shouting at her husband and he just stands there taking it.(the lyrics of the song match what the husband is thinking). the husband has a line in the song and when he says it the wife becomes happier. In the end the husband gets fed up with her moaning at him so he starts shouting at his wife, the wife then says the same line that he says to her which makes him laugh and makes him realise that hes just overreacting.

Biography Arctic Monkeys are an alternative rock band formed in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England in 2002 after meeting at Stockbridge High School. The band’s rise to success started in late 2004/early 2005 when demo songs which had been handed out in CD form at gigs found their way onto the internet. These demos rapidly spread among message boards.

Annotated lyrics Well now then Mardy Bum I've seen your frown And it's like looking down the barrel of a gun And it goes off And out come all these words Oh there's a very pleasant side to you A side I much prefer Chorus It's one that laughs and jokes around Remember cuddles in the kitchen Yeah, to get things off the ground And it was up, up and away Oh, but it's right hard to remember That on a day like today when you're all argumentative And you've got the face on Oh I'm in trouble again, aren't I? I thought as much Cause you turned over there Pulling that silent disappointment face The one that I can't bear And yeah I'm sorry I was late But I missed the train And then the traffic was a state And I can't be arsed to carry on in this debate that reoccurs, Oh, when you say I don't care But of course I do, yeah, I clearly do!

Well now then Mardy Bum I've seen your frown And it's like looking down the barrel of a gun And it goes off And out come all these words Oh there's a very pleasant side to you A side I much prefer His girl is unpredictable and she goes off like a gun sometimes, holding nothing back. Without thinking, he says how much he prefers her when she’s happy. The gun goes off and then the words come out. The gun is the girl holding her rage and then it goes off as she can’t hold it any longer, making her say things she doesn’t really mean to say

Chorus It's one that laughs and jokes around Remember cuddles in the kitchen Yeah, to get things off the ground And it was up, up and away Oh, but it's right hard to remember That on a day like today when you're all argumentative And you've got the face on Here he’s trying to get this girl to remember all the good times they’ve had together. But It’s hard to remember all of the good times you have with a person when they’re being particularly nasty toward you.

Well now then Mardy Bum Oh I'm in trouble again, aren't I? I thought as much Cause you turned over there Pulling that silent disappointment face The one that I can't bear A rhetorical question that shows he knows her moods well by now. He’s not phased by them anymore. He knows her so well, that he just knows when something is wrong with his girl friend. She’s giving him the silent treatment but it’s no mystery as to what’s on her mind.

And yeah I'm sorry I was late But I missed the train And then the traffic was a state And I can't be arsed to carry on in this debate that reoccurs, Oh, when you say I don't care But of course I do, yeah, I clearly do! He’s trying to be reasonable, explaining why he was late. Describing something as a state usually means it’s terrible. He doesn’t want to carry on because she isn’t listening due to her mood. He describes it as a debate rather than an argument because there’s a right answer – his
