SWAT Team Activity No Deployments Regular NTOA Training

Woods Cross High School Activities Theft of Airpods. (Yes this is a hot item!) Theft of an Iphone 10. Two traffic accidents – no injures.

K-9 Activity Traffic Stop – Vehicle searched: nothing found, no dog indication. Traffic Stop – Vehicle searched: Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and paraphernalia found. Scout Demo at WXPD. Assist Bountiful with K9 search of Bountiful Jr. High School: Nothing suspicious found.

Detective Division 17 active C.A.N.R. cases (child abuse neglect report) they are investigating in conjunction  with D.C.F.S.   32 active Theft / Property / Fraud / Assault / Death cases.

Case Spotlight   On 3/04/19 Officers responded to an assault at InTown suites. Officers found an unconscious male (Tilman Bitsoie) in the hallway, bleeding from the head. Bitsoie was transported to UofU Hospital where he died of his injuries two days later. Detectives were able to identify a suspect, Ross Letham, and obtained footage of Letham fleeing the scene in his vehicle after the assault. Multiple witnesses were also identified and provided corroborating statements. Letham was later located during a traffic stop and arrested. Letham has been charged with F2 Manslaughter in our case. Multiple search warrants were conducted and numerous items of evidence and DNA were seized. Digital analysis and evidence is pending.
