Section 1 Solid Figures

The three-dimensional shapes on the first few slides are examples of solid figures, or solids. When a solid is formed by polygons, it is called a polyhedron.

Example 1: Tell whether the solid is a polyhedron Example 1: Tell whether the solid is a polyhedron. If so, identify the shape of the bases. Then name the solid.
