Building Leadership For Inclusion Our three strategic aims Raise the level of ambition on inclusion Quicken the pace of change towards inclusion Ensure that leaderships is equipped to achieve and leave an ever increasing and sustainable legacy of inclusion

Building Leadership For Inclusion Our Six Building Blocks - Core to the work of BLFI Learning through the lens of lived experience Developing new approaches for inclusive leadership across the NHS through lived experience New inclusive approaches to learning Facilitation Leadership development Leadership practice Change Enablers Pedagogy/ Andragogy Re-skilling and up-skilling Fresh knowledge content approaches Shifting mind-sets and behaviours HOW: We have established four senior influencer groups BAME, Women, Disabled and LGBT+ employees. This enables us to listen and learn from the voices of ‘Lived Experience’, those employees who we know to have a less positive employee experience and who have been and are marginalised often unheard. We have been working in six pilot sites across the country to test leadership development interventions, based upon the evidence from our collaborative academic partner, University of West England’s, research and the learning from senior influencer groups. We have developed a cadre of expert facilitators in Inclusive Leadership Development and Leadership Practice to enable NHS leaders to further develop the mindsets, behaviours, knowledge and skills, to create cultures of inclusion. This has informed and influenced our Faculty procurement process to ensure the capacity and capability of inclusive leadership development is enhanced nationally. The learning from the BLFI workstream is currently and will continue to inform our practice in delivering Talent Management, Core National Programmes, Coaching and Mentoring, our National Network of Inclusion Leads, ODF and ED&I Networks, the work of regional Academies, GMTS and the creation of a new Inclusive Leadership development and Board offer.
