Solution Information Systems is moving to Intel systems Lower cost solution – IS has already purchased servers to support other business applications Oracle DB licensing doubles in our favor because of the chip set Greater flexibility to adjust key components as performance and usage requires Will provide for greater redundancy providing improved stability of systems Lower environmental impact in terms of power usage and cooling requirements

Funding Request funding of $60K to purchase two additional servers IS in process of investing another $180K in support of ARIES The funding will provide the additional servers needed to support ARIES Currently have Catalog and Faculty Grading modules up and running Registration module is in the works including mobile registration
