Tasks of BLO Preparation of Part Boundary Map Identification of Section Boundary   Collection of longitude and latitude of the household through mobile app to capture the Latitude/Longitude as point value The numbering of each family/household that lives as a unit in a house and will move together in case of shifting may be done in the polling station area. If no house number provided by municipal authorities is available, notional house number will be given To prepare hand drawn map of the part with sections and streets and show all the buildings’ location, Existing PS and probable Polling Stations’ locations, Post office location and natural Barriers’ location on the Map Collection of longitude and latitude of Polling Stations through mobile app to capture the Latitude/Longitude as point value Capturing Photos of available facilities at Polling Stations Electors Feedback on existing Polling Station and suggestion on Alternate building more suitable to become PS Collection of details of Polling Station/ Alternate buildings available in the part/ in adjoining Parts suitable for PS

Ways of Part Boundary Map Preparation Google Maps are used for preparation of Part Boundary Digital Map of City/Town/Village be taken from respective Revenue/ Land Record/Planning department and parts are marked on it by hand or Satellite Imagery Map may be super imposed and part boundaries are drawn using a GIS Tool Notional Part Boundary may be prepared using IT application. In this a mobile device is used and coordinates are captured by moving around the part.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Open Google Maps and click the menu button in the top left corner.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Click Your Places > Maps > Create Map.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Search PS Location. Click search button. Name your map and enter description.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Zoom in or zoom out to part/polling station area. Click ‘Add line or shape’ and draw area of Part over Google Map.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Add Part information i.e. part no & name and description of that area. Click ‘Add line or shape’ and draw area of Section over Part Boundary.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Add Section information i.e. Section no & name and description of that area. Add point value of Polling Station by clicking on Add marker that specifies the Lat-Long of Polling Station.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Google Maps Add Polling station information i.e. Polling station no & name and description of that area. Click on the Export to KML/KMZ to local machine.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using GIS Tool /By Hand Polygon/PART BOUNDARY Fig- 2 Fig- 1 We can create different Polygon from groups of points created with a GPS receiver, allowing to create Street/Road/Lane maps, Wing Map, Ward Map and Sector map, Area/Locality map, Village/Town /City and Tehsil maps which helps to identify PART boundaries.

Section Boundary Identification Part Boundary Map Preparation using GIS Tool /By Hand Section Boundary Identification HOUSE NO. Map of the part is prepared and marking of House is done with House number if house no. is not there then a notional house no. is given. Section Fig. 3 NOTE: Then section are created by grouping of the electors based on House number after creation of section it’s naming is done in Fig. 3.

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Mobile App Login to Mobile App Press Mark Boundary button – app will display map of area Press Current Location button – app will pan the map to your current location Press Trace Path button – app will start tracing path as you move on the boundary of area to be mapped

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Mobile App Press Pause Tracing button – to temporarily pause app from tracing Press Navigate to Last Location button – app will guide you to the location trace was paused Press Resume Trace button – to resume tracing of part boundary Press Complete Trace button – to complete tracing on again reaching the starting point Press Submit Trace button – to send data to server and close the trace workflow

Part Boundary Map Preparation using Mobile App The saved Trace Route is displayed on system by GIS person BLO’s will confirm the traced route/inform about any discrepancy
