Reading Buddies We will have Reading Buddies every Friday. Students can bring a book from home High schoolers read with your child. There will be a special celebration at the end of the year…The Reading Buddies Picnic!

FOCUS Student ID/birthday (MM/DD/YY) Attendance Grades -Citizenship (DOJO) & Study Skills (HW) are E, S, N, U. Promotion Promotion of students to 1st Grade will be determined by teacher judgment and the recommendation of the school site administrator which may be based on the following indicators:  Mastery of each Florida Standard at 70% or greater in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics  A scaled score of 645 or above on Star Early Literacy  A scaled score of 200 or above on STAR Math.  Exhibit letter and sound fluency, and demonstrate written expression equal to kindergarten end-of-year expectations

Dismissal If there is a change in your child’s transportation, please send a dojo message or e-mail to me early in the day. Car Pick-up: Make sure that the individual picking up your child has a FSUS number tag. This tag MUST be present and match the companion tag in order to pick up the child. Anyone who does not have a tag MUST sign your child out in the front office. Students will go to afterschool at 3:15pm if not picked up. Secondary siblings MUST be leaving campus IMMEDIATELY if they are picking up an elementary student.

Absences Call the attendance line at 245-3883 if your student is sick and going to be out of school. If you will be out of town, you need to complete a pre-arranged absence form on the school website and turn it in to administration 5 days in advance. Students are responsible for collecting their work from teachers when they return to school.

Tardies Students are marked tardy at 8:01am. Students who are signed out of school early will be marked as “unexcused early tardy,” unless appropriate document is provided.

Activity fee and birthdays Activity Fees and Field Trips Student activity fees are due by October 1st. Must be paid in order for students to receive their class shirts, yearbooks, and to attend all field trips (including on campus). **Aunt Louise’s Farm 10/17 Birthdays We love celebrating birthdays! Kindergarten birthdays are celebrated at 12:10 in the elementary courtyard. If you’d like to bring or send in a treat, please make sure they are individual servings for the class.
