Key reporting dates 25/11/19 – Academic Tutoring Day (PC1 issued) 27/4/20 to 8/5/20 - Year 7 exams (including 3 days of formal exams in tutor groups) 11/6/20 - Parents’ consultation evening Band A (PC2 issued) 27/6/20 - Parents’ consultation evening Band B

Grades for the Year 7s Targets for Maths and English based upon Scaled scores 80-120 Targets for all other subjects based upon an average of the scaled scores for Maths and English Targets generated by FFT 5 – very aspirational Only end of Year 7 target are shared with students, not GCSE targets Year 7 are graded on the (new) 1-9 scale: 3E (Emerging Grade 3) 3S:(Secure Grade 3) 3A: (Advanced Grade 3)

Setting Maths/English/Science/French – Set by prior attainment (CATS/SATS) History/Geography/Religious Studies/Computing – taught in mixed ability tutor groups Art/Music/Drama/Performing Arts. Mixed ability with the exception of one class in each band being made up of the most proficient musicians who play an instrument PE is taught in gender specific groups of mixed ability
