Interval Notation Defined: A notation for representing an interval as a pair of numbers.

Interval Notation The numbers are the endpoints of the interval Parenthesis and/or brackets show whether endpoints are included/excluded Ex: [3,8) is the interval of real numbers between 3 and 8, including 3 and excluding 8

Interval Notation Notation can be used to describe any group of numbers. For example, consider the set of numbers that are all greater than 5. I.e. all the numbers starting from 6 to infinity.  (5,∞)
