Dream House Project Architecture Design

Description of Project This project is designed to provide students with the opportunity to create a custom house with no price limit.

Objective of Project As a result of this project, the student will be able to: Properly label various rooms in the house Identify necessary permanent fixtures Draw a house plan to scale Calculate surface area of rectangular, triangular and circular rooms using the appropriate formula Estimate cost of dream house

Assignments for Project 1. List all rooms and permanent fixtures dream house will contain (fireplace, jaccuzzi tub, etc.) 2. Draw rough sketches of dream house A. label all rooms B. draw in all permanent fixtures 3. Draw final sketches of dream house A. define the length and width of each room B. create a scale that will make it possible to center the dream house and its landscaping on a 24”x36” piece of paper with some space left around edge of the paper C. include all measurements and label each using drafting lettering

Chief Architect Floor Plan and Elevations You must complete your floor plan in CA including elevations, furniture and décor, landscaping and all printed plans in template. 6. Models of Dream Home You will create and build a model of your home using a CA print out and a wall framing section developed in CA.
