Installing Ubuntu & getting to Ubuntu screen PCs in Salazar 2006 have both Windows 10 & Ubuntu 18.04 OSes As you power on PC, keep hitting the “UP” arrow key The list of operating systems are displayed Select Ubuntu (the first entry) & hit the “Return” key to boot Ubuntu If the above did not work, follow the steps below. Power On or Restart. Keep the Escape (ESC) key to see the Start Menu screen. Press Function key F9, to see the Boot Menu screen. In the Boot Menu select and press Boot from file. In the Select File System page select and press the second entry Pci/PciRoot. In the next Select File page select and press EFI. In the next Select File page select and press Ubuntu. In the next Select File page go down to second and press grub x 64.efi, Finally, quickly select and press Ubuntu to boot for the Ubuntu OS. If you did not select and press quickly, the computer will go to Windows 10 automatically.

To RUN Ubuntu from the flash memory attached to your laptop or MacBook: Power on your Windows computer, start hitting the function key F12 (?) to display the booting options, select “USB Storage Device” hit Return. Then select & hit Return on “Ubuntu without Installing”. Power on your MacBook, keep pressing the “Option” button to display the booting options, select the device that stores Ubuntu & hit Return. Then select & hit Return on “Ubuntu without Installing”.
