The Complete Application Student’s Online Application (some use Common Application or Coalition) Broadneck sends via Naviance: Transcript Teacher Recommendation Counselor Recommendation/Form School Profile Students take and send test scores Must be requested from College Board or ACT Test dates available Sept-Dec. Hand out 4 year checklist

Admission Types Early Action Regular Decision Rolling Admission Apply early and receive a decision well in advance of regular response date. Submit application by specified date and receive decision in clearly stated period of time Review applications as they are submitted. Non-Binding

Scholarships Check with each institution (Merit based) Apply Early! Early bird gets the $$ Naviance Scholarship Search Most local scholarships come through the BHS, so check Naviance Counselors will have optional scholarship information sessions this Spring for interested seniors FAFSA opens October 1st Must be completed each year of college *Reminder to attend Financial Aid Presentation at the College Fair

(update your Naviance profile) Update your resume Sign up for ASVAB/College Visits Take SAT/ACT/Accuplacer 4 Year College: Finalize your College Application List Finish your “senior survey” (for Counselor Letters of Rec) Work on college essays Talk to teachers about letters of recommendation Request Transcripts/Counselor letters (if needed) Send SAT/ACT scores STAY ORGANIZED and MEET DEADLINES
