Times of Loss Lesson 9 2nd Quarter 2019

Philippians 3:8  Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

Mark 5:41-42  And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.  And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. Sunday Mark 5:25-26  And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had.. but grew worse, …And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;’

Monday John 21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.  Peter had denied Jesus 3 times, to establish Peter again, Jesus had Peter affirm Him 3 times!

Genesis 37:18, 28  Now when they saw him (Joseph) afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Genesis 37:26-27  So Judah said to his brothers, "What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood? Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites,  ‘pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver.‘ Tuesday

Romans 6:16  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  Wednesday

Thursday To the believer, death is but a small matter. Christ speaks of it as if it were of little moment. "If a man keep My saying, he shall never see death… To the Christian, death is but a sleep, a moment of silence and darkness. The life is hid with Christ in God, and "when Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." DA 787. 1Cor 15:26  The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

We must ask for God's blessing if we would receive it. ‘When difficulties and trials surround us, we should flee to God, and confidently expect help from Him who is mighty to save and strong to deliver. We must ask for God's blessing if we would receive it. Prayer is a duty and a necessity; but do we not neglect praise?’ 2 SM p268 Thought… Pray until you get an answer! The prophets did, 7 times, all night and up to 10 days. Friday
