Lopez CLASS Room Procedures

What is the expectation of your teacher? Students will list on a white sheet of Note paper as many expectations They have for the Teacher.

Arrive on time with your materials Follow directions Post Rules Arrive on time with your materials Follow directions Respect each other (verbal and physical) Stay focused during all instruction No gum or candy in the class unless allowed by the teacher.

Classroom and Transition Conversation- 0 (no talking) 1 (Whisper) 2(Partner Talk) 3(Conversation group) 4 (Outside talk) 5 (Outside Yell game/Play) Help- a. none b. partner c. group d. Encouragement Scientific B-Ball (teacher will ask a question to any students and if they cannot answer it, they may pass it to another student. Each pass results in a shot by the teacher. Positive Feedback during task- For each class period class can earn 1 Victory if they remain on task. 5-no disruptions 4-Just a little off task 3 – less then half off task 2-half off task 1- majority of task 0 all off task Student of the month- 1 student per period Caught You- Do the right thing

Beginning and Ending Routine When entering classroom students will enter between a level 0-1 towards their seat. Students will promptly work on bell work for 5 minutes (Help 0) Student engagement while attendance is taken for opening business is by completing bell work. Students will also share (peer coach). Left to right for 30 seconds and switch. Each student will evaluate by using the hands up. 1 for A 2 for B 3 for C and 4 D

If your are absent: Check assignment log first, handouts will be placed in your folder. Check with a Buddy. Student will also be able to access on-line at sciencebuddy.net Restroom use will be 3 per nine weeks. Save 3 passes earn 3 point for extra credit. At the end of the class period students will conclude with and exit slip or quiz. Students will ensure chairs are pushed in and the area is clean. Students will remain in seat until dismissed by teacher. The last period students will stack chair on top of desk pick up any trash in the area. Student will line up near the door single file.
