Ten Steps to Teaching Success Provides a path for all tenure-track and non-tenure track professors to demonstrate engagement in continuous improvement of teaching and student learning; Provides a way to utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and to practice reflective teaching; Is a voluntary program for full-time faculty, intended to be completed in three years; It is comprised of five mandatory components to be completed in any order and five additional points through a variety of activities; Go to cafe.mst.edu to register.

Faculty Teaching Award The Faculty Teaching Award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching-related activities; Nomination packages include student and peer evaluations of teaching effectiveness and other supporting documentation; The award includes a $1,000 stipend; For more information and an application, go to the provost's website.

Outstanding Teaching Awards; Class of ’42 Excellence in Teaching Award The Outstanding Teaching Award Committee recognizes those faculty members (about 30 per year) who have demonstrated a high level of instructional effectiveness as measured by student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.  The Class of ’42 Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes a first-year faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in effective teaching efforts based upon student end-of-course evaluations.
