Presentation transcript:

Welcome In the chat box (in bottom right hand side of your screen) please share: your name academy name attending alone or how many are with you? Thanks! We’ll get started shortly. Welcome people as they enter. Encourage them to enter info in chat. Call people out. If we start by them not participating, that sets the wrong tone. Let them know this will be an interactive webinar where they will be sharing good things that are happening at their school, respond to polls, and even listen to some music together this morning. I’m using a few resources that you can implement in your classrooms that kids will like and help with engagement. It looks like we have xxx signed on and we’re going to go ahead and get started. I want to welcome all of you and thank you for making the decision to give up one precious hour today and also thank everyone who’s listening to the recording of this important session. Welcome

Where’s the Beef? October 12 & 16, 2018 A Quick Start Guide for Accessing MAP Reports October 12 & 16, 2018 Facilitated by Sherry Betcher Academic Performance and Accountability The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools Central Michigan University 1 min So for those of you who weren’t around in the 80’s and were wondering where the heck this title came from, we took this title from the Wendys (tell story- but the pics are copyrighted). We’re all on a path from good to great. This is course 104 to get us ready for 105 in person on 10/23 & 10/24. If you missed courses 101, 102, or 103, the recordings are all on our website on the Event’s page.

Webinar Format Check your sound- have you “Connected to Audio”? Continue to use the Chat feature for feedback & questions Helpful to have a second screen to participate This PowerPoint and session recording will be available at www.TheCenterForCharters.org/Events. 1 min

Facilitator: Sherry Betcher Biography http://www.theCenterForCharters.org/about/center-for-charter-schools/our-team/ 1 min. Our time is short today so I’ll give you my 20 second bio and you can read more on our website if you’d like. I’ve been in Education for 15 years, teacher, counselor, assessment coordinator, and with the Center for 8 years now. I’ve learned that the more I learn, the more I don’t know! So I’d definitely consider myself a “lifelong learner” who believes the more I learn, the more I’m able to live out my own personal why which is to be a relentless advocate for kids.

Quick References Proctor Tips & Trouble Shoot Student Into- speech Reports Summary blog (I get lost so much great info) Help Home- will always take you back here. Then View Reports last- ALL reports live here Class Report. And usually this is the first report that teachers will need to learn about when they join your team. I do, you do. Pull the report for one teacher- explain all of the report options.
