Translation from Surah At-Tiin In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful By the fig and olive An (by) Mount Sinai And (by) this secure city (Makkah) We have certainly created man in the best of stature; Then We return him to the lowest of the low, Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense? Is not Allah the most just of judges?

Lessons from Surah At-Tiin We should be grateful to Allah and worship Him as well as to observe His rules as He has made us the best of all creations. Man will become the worst and lowest of creations in Allah’s eyes and they will be put into the Hellfire when they are ungrateful, continuously committing sins and disobeying His orders. Allah is the most just of all judges. Man will be rewarded according to his deeds done in dunya. If his deeds are good, he will be rewarded with paradise and if he did otherwise, he will placed in the Hellfire and faces Allah’s wrath.

Reason Behind The Revelation Ayah 5-6: Narrated by Ibnu Jarir from al-’Aufi obtained from Ibnu ‘Abbas where Allah revealed in Surah at-Tiin, 5th ayah: “Then We return Him to the lowest of the low” which means to return to senility (like an infant). Rasullulah s.a.w. was asked about such people. Then Allah revealed the next ayah (i.e. 6th ayah), affirming that those who continuously worship before reaching such phase, will be uninterruptedly rewarded.
