Business Tourism – Visit York All activity related to VY4M will now fit into the wider Visit York strategy, with the intention that business tourism focused streams of campaigns will be created As part of this business tourism activity will focus on ‘inspiration’ for the destination instead of a focus on promoting the conference desk offer

MeetGB This year VisitBritain’s flagship business event welcomed 120 international buyers to show why the UK is the destination of choice for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE). 80 suppliers from venues, hotels and local attractions across the UK met with these global buyers in a series one-to-one appointments, networking events and workshops. Visit York participated in one to one appointments with over 40 buyers across two days. 2020 dates: 22-24 April
The Meetings Show 750 exhibitors from the UK and around the world including hotels, luxury hotels, destinations, destination management companies, conference centres, venues and technology suppliers. The only UK event offering a fully-hosted buyer programme The York and Leeds partners generated over 100 leads on stand this year. 2020 dates: 24-25 June
ICCA International Congress and Convention Association - the global community and knowledge hub for the international association meetings industry. 1,100 member companies and organisations in almost 100 countries. It is estimated that there are approximately 24,000 different association meetings organised on a regular basis. The ICCA Association Database has collected information on approximately 80% of them. Using the database allows you to search for association meeting business, view the latest RFPs (released weekly) and discover local ambassadors.
ICCA – how you can help The global benchmarking ICCA uses for its annual rankings relate to international association meetings which meet the following assessment criteria: be organised on a regular basis (one-time events are not included) move between at least 3 different countries Attract at least 50 participants If you have events that meet these criteria, we can work together to submit these. Events must be submitted by the end of December, and rankings are then released in May the following year.
