“He will beautify the humble with salvation” Humility is so greatly valued by God that He requires it of everyone who enters His kingdom. Jesus exemplified humility. In order to be saved in His body, we must follow His example. -- Psalm 149:4

Humility is a Decision Jesus said that whoever “Humbles himself will be exalted.” You can’t go to heaven unless you make this decision! (Matthew 18:2-4; Psalm 149:4) The Lord values humility! He requires it! (Micah 6:8) He gives grace to the humble! (James 4:6, 10; 1 Peter 5:5-6)

The Greatest Example of Humility Who is the most humble person you know? Jesus said of Himself, “I am gentle and lowly in heart” (Matthew 11:29). Jesus is our EXAMPLE of humility. (John 13:3-15; Luke 12:27; 1 Peter 2:18-24)

Humility is Necessary for Unity We must have the mind of Christ! (Philippians 2:3-8) We must see ourselves as part of something greater than ourselves – the body of Christ! (Romans 12:3-5) We must be willing to learn and be corrected (Proverbs 15:32-33; Romans 12:16)
