Improvement on Accountability Indicators One goal of providing accountability information is to describe school and district performance across a profile of desired outcomes. 32 districts improved their scorecard points on ELA Performance. 34 districts improved their scorecard points on Math Performance. *Note: The indicator for English Language Proficiency Progress is not included above because all districts do not have sufficient sample sizes to ensure a fair comparison. ELA Progress and Math Progress are also excluded to account for the lack of historical data for Year 1 of the measure.

Celebrating the Positives Performance: Decrease in percentage of schools that did not meet standard (red) on the English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. ELA 1.2% Math 6% Post-Secondary: Increased exceeds standards (green) by 4% and decreased did not meet standard (red) 4.2%. Both of these indicators show that after only one year we are moving students toward higher levels of achievement.

Major Concern: Attendance Remember: Students who have missed 18 or more days in one school year 20% of students were chronically absent in 2018-2019 This chart represents the percentage of schools that did not meet standard 2017-2018 2018-2019  30.5% 38.6%

Attendance Our communities need to value education. Our teachers cannot provide instruction when students are not present. Relationships with caring adults is key to success with at-risk students.
