Product Selection Target Audience: People interested in learning a new physics concept Students interested in physics or enrolled in physics classes, especially those who find torques/moments to be a difficult concept. Choosing our Design: Torque is sometimes hard to understand and visualize Our app needed to be able to truly give a deeper understanding Able to be implemented in a few months by college students

Conceptual Design Initial Design First Iteration Second Iteration - Fulfilled requirements - Simple interface - Could be a good teaching tool - Bare minimum - Gave initial calculations - Easily improved upon - Improved interface - Shows force components - Persistent forces

Actual Design What we created: Why we chose this design: Extremely easy to use interface Force times distance visualization Toolbox with six shapes to play with “Workspace canvas” with zooming and panning Why we chose this design: It brought all of the components we wanted together, and fulfilled the goal we set for ourselves How we made it: HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery.

Customer Feedback Samuel Pankratz, EF 157 student: Sam received the initial details about the design enthusiastically. He was “excited to see torque acting on different shapes” When presented with the final design, he was amazed by the simplicity of the product. Sam stated, “this is way better than I thought it would be at first.” Dustin Craig, comp. sci. student: Dustin loved the clean, sleek look of the web app. He believed it looked professionally made. He went on to say, “this is way overdone for a physics class. Y’all spent too much time on this.”

Cost and Time Estimates Materials Cost Design Time Cost for 1000 units Google Chrome, Visual Studio Code: FREE Laptop: $1,000 1765 minutes = 29 hr 25 mins N/A 29.4 hrs @ $20/hr Materials Advertising Overhead Include profits $588 $1,000 $500 $100 $450 Retail: $2,638

Conclusion Great teaching tool, simple intuitive GUI Interactive way of showing examples of torque Runs on almost any computer, and easy to make mobile-compatible Could embed into pre-existing website
