TWO KINDS OF 3rd PERSON… We only know ONE character’s thoughts and feelings- what’s going on inside that they don’t say out loud.

TWO KINDS OF 3rd PERSON… We know ALL the characters’ thoughts and feelings- what’s going on inside that they don’t say out loud.

The narrator is not a character in the story; the story is being told about other people.

The writer is directly addressing YOU- the reader.

The narrator is a character in the story- he is telling about events that are happening to himself.

How does point of view affect the passage?
