Exam Question Outline and comment on the economic and political consequences of population change (15 marks) You should use the UK as a case study – migration (from Poland) AND natural change (ageing structure) Population change refers to an increase or decline in the population. This may be caused by migration or natural change. It can also refer to a change in structure.

Intro Introduce the concept of population change – increase or decrease, caused by natural change or migration. Introduce the examples you intend to use to illustrate your answer. e.g. Population change refers to an increase or decline in the population. An increase in the population may be caused by in migration or natural change. For instance, Britain has seen the influx of over half a million migrants from Poland since 2004, causing a substantial increase in the population in towns such as Crew.
