Migration statistics in Africa Ímprove regional information on migrants and migration to ensure the availability of relevant and good quality statistics on migration in Africa. Duration: 2019 – 2021 Volume: 5.4 m Euro In partnership with the African Union’s statistics division (STATAFRIC) and several RECs in sub-Saharan Africa.
Regional Balkan (Sida) Objective: Well-developed statistical systems in the region in line with the EU acquis for statistics. Duration: Apr 2019 – March 2022 Volume: 1.9 m EUR Survey methodology, Registers and the Balkan Summer School. Project office in Belgrade with local consultant.
North Macedonia Objective: Strengthened and increased user confidence for official statistics in North Macedonian Fact Finding mission November 2018 Project Identification Mission 8 – 12 April 2019. Tentative project start autumn 2019. Duration: 2019 – 2021
Somalia Objective: Strengthened capacity with the purpose of raising decision makers’ awareness, understanding and trust in statistical data. Duration: 2015 – Aug 2019. New project phase from Sep 2019 – Aug 2022. Volume: 4.2 m euro. New phase approx. 7 m EUR. Achieved results: Preliminary results for GDP 2012 – 2017. Significant quality increase in CPI.
