Lesson 6- Learning Intention Prenatal testing

Prenatal Tests Tests are carried out on pregnant women to see if the baby is developing normally. These are called pre-natal tests (before birth).

Prenatal testing Prenatal tests give you information about your health and your baby’s. They help detect any problems that could affect the baby (like birth defects or genetic diseases). The results can help you make the best health care decisions before and after your child is born.

Task: 2 periods Period 1- Expert groups are going to research their example of a prenatal test. Take notes and look for any extra information you can gather. Period 2- Come back to home groups- teach other members of the group about the example of prenatal testing you researched. Make a poster which includes information about all tests.
