20,000 years ago the earth was in the middle of an Ice Age. Much of North America was covered with glaciers.

Large animals roamed the earth. Some animals look familiar but were much BIGGER during the Ice Age.

The bones of one particular fish really caught the attention of scientists The fish only used to live in Northeast Asia, during the Ice Age but that was not where they found its bones.

The bones of this Asian fish were found in Wyoming 20,000 years after the fish had lived. The fish bones seemed to have been cut with a sharp object. The bones also had burn marks on them.

How does this fishy fossil help prove that people may have crossed Beringia 20,000 years ago?
