When God has said nothing…

The apostle John did not add any explanation about what we will be in eternity (1 John 3:2). “…it has not appeared as yet what we will be” [NAV] “…it has not yet been revealed what we shall be” [NKJV]

The apostle John did not add any explanation about what we will be in eternity (1 John 3:2). “We know that when He appears, we will be like Him.” Philippians 3:21 2 Corinthians 5:2, 4 1 Corinthians 15:43-44, 50, 53

Only the Spirit of God knows the unrevealed mind and will of God (1 Corinthians 2:11). When any man injects their own thoughts in their seeking and serving of God, then he exalts himself and imposes “something” which is not of Christ (Colossians 2:18-19, 23).

Covenant keepers will respect and uphold what God has not revealed. Nadab and Abihu sinned by doing something which God had not commanded (Leviticus 10:1). When two or more agree on how to honor God, agreement does not give divine authorization (2 Samuel 7:1-3, 7).

Covenant keepers will respect and uphold what God has not revealed. Jesus never performed priestly duties nor entered the temple because the Law said “nothing concerning priests” descending from Judah (Hebrews 7:13-14).

Covenant keepers will respect and uphold what God has not revealed. When we do “something” concerning which God through Christ said nothing, then we are guilty of going “too far” from the teaching of Christ (2 John 9).

Covenant keepers will respect and uphold what God has not revealed. Going “too far:” The-sinner’s-prayer to be saved… Adding musical instruments… Weekday Lord’s Supper… Women pastors… Distribution of church funds to persons not Christians…
