Prevalence of Accidents 2% of household members were injured in an accident in the year before the survey Only 0.1% of household members were killed in an accident in the year before the survey. 2% of men were in accidents, compared to 1% of women Accidents were especially common in Kampong Speu (3%)

Key Findings 2% of household members were injured or killed in an accident in the year before the survey. Road accidents were the most common type. 2% of household members are physically impaired -- most commonly caused by illness or birth. 11% of household members had some degree of illness or injury in the 30 days before the survey. The majority of ill or injured people sought at least one treatment, most commonly from the private sector. The average cost for transport and health care for all needed treatments was US $32.37. Most people paid for their health care costs through wages/pocket money or savings.
