When your vision gets derailed

Main Text: Judges Chapter 14

a. too large, extensive, or extreme to measure Don’t sell out giving vision for something temporary when the results of your mission could be immeasurable. a. too large, extensive, or extreme to measure b. Sampson’s Vison began to be hindered when he allowed his flesh to take control

James 1:13-14 (13) Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. (14) But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

2. Rededicate and consecrate yourself back to the Lord and the vision that He has given. a. Vision is to begin inside of you destiny and assignments from God. Action will begin the momentum that will cause you to get there. b. John 14:12: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

As soon as you begin to move toward your vision that God has given in Corporate Ministry and Individual Ministry, Satan will throw every type of temptation your way. (Personal Matters, Relationships, Jobs, etc) Sampson and his family violated the law that God had given in Exodus 34:16 in regards to the Canaanites (V12 said they would become a snare)

Reposition yourself for God’s greatness! a. Position yourself in a way God’s vengeance is being poured out. b. Sampson positioned himself between the structures that was holding up a representation of the enmity against God!

c. Position yourself where you can get fresh fire and fresh vision! 1) In order to do this, one must face the obstacles that has caused problems, acknowledge these ad put in place safety berries that will keep you from giving up your birthright as a Christian!

2) From the pillars that have been set against you, position yourself in Jesus and let the power of God return to destroy what has hindered you. 3) Psalm 37:23–24 (NKJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

Conclusion. Sampson is like so many of us today. We have vision and God empowers us to take on the world and win it for Him. But as time goes on, we begin to loose focus on God’s Vision for our lives and begin to chase after what our eyes and flesh desires and before we know it, we are derailed from God’s Vision. Don’t become like Sampson and spiritually die young because of hindrances that you may or may not have brought on. Reposition yourself in prayer, study, exercise and focus on what God has given you individually to do and corporately to do. Get “Fresh Fire” and desire a great awakening!
