WITHIN THE EU, MALTA WAS THE SMALLEST EXPORTER TO PAKISTAN IN 2018 EU is Pakistan’s 3rd largest import partner after China and UAE. Imports from the EU stood at $5.46 billion in 2018. Malta accounts for 0.01% of Pakistan’s imports from the EU and 0.001% of total imports from the world. The UK is the second most important import supplying market of Pakistan in the EU

PAKISTAN MALTA Trade Trends Bilateral trade decreased from US$ 7.7 Mn in 2014 to US$ 4.1 Mn in 2018 i.e. by 46.8% in five years. Pakistan’s exports to Malta fell by 50% during this period. Meanwhile, Malta’s exports to Pakistan rose from 0.1 Mn to 0.3 Mn during the last five years. The trade surplus in 2018 has decreased in the past five years, from $7.5 Mn in 2014 to around $3.5 Mn in 2018.
